Togu Audio Line U-NO-LX is an outstanding emulation of Roland Juno-6/60 hybrid synths from very early 1980s. While the hardware used mostly traditional analog technology, its primary oscillator was digitally-controlled, which ensured tuning stability. A powerful chorus effect onboard also ensured that Juno-6/60 sounded very rich.
Enya, The Cure, Sean Lennon, Faithless, Astral Projection, Vince Clarke, Rabbit in the Moon, Men at Work, Flock of Seagulls, Olive, Dee-Lite, Howard Jones, Locust, Eurythmics and others - this is a very incomplete list of the artists who used (and some keep using) Roland Juno-6* family.
And even more use the emulators - there are quite a few offerings out in the market.
U-No-LX is one of the most fabulous, despite its age.
It also has some additional features like Unison mode with detuning and wideness settings, built-in syncable Delay and Reverb.
All of these patches were created from scratch, except for ARP StormsInDonegal patch which is a recreation of arpeggios from Enya's 'Storms in Africa' in which I closely followed Marcus Werker's settings. Another patch - STR Backport had been recreated after the settings from Cherry Audio's DCO-106, an emulation of Roland Juno-106. The resulting timbre is still different.
Overall the pack comprises:
* 8 Arpeggios
* 3 Basses
* 8 Keys
* 6 Leads
* 11 Pads
* 8 Percussive patches
* 6 Strings
* 2 Sweeps
* 12 Textures
The Lite version of the pack carries 9 patches selected from every category.
